WHAT
MAKES A
MOVEMENT?

A movement is more than activity, rapid growth or one large church. It is a reproducible ecosystem in which disciples and communities multiply beyond the first leaders.

Our working definition combines scale with generational multiplication.

01 / PEOPLE1,000+

Baptized disciples

People have responded to Jesus, been baptized and are learning to obey him together.

02 / COMMUNITIES100+

Missional communities

Simple expressions of church live on mission and can be reproduced in new contexts.

03 / GENERATIONS4

Generations deep

Disciples make disciples who make disciples — until multiplication reaches at least the fourth generation.

All three belong together. The numbers show breadth. Four generations show that multiplication has become reproducible and is no longer dependent on the original team.

GOD IS
MULTIPLYING.

Across cultures and continents, ordinary people are following Jesus, making disciples and forming communities that reproduce. The worldwide picture is larger than any single organization or network.

“WE DON’T BUILD BIGGER SILOS.

WE BUILD BETTER BRIDGES.

EVERY GAP.
AN ACTIVE TEAM.

A GAP is more than an empty place on a map. It can be a city, neighborhood, people group, generation, language, passion or profession where no active multiplying team is present yet.

01
SEE THE GAP

Listen, pray, map and notice who is not yet being reached.

02
FORM THE TEAM

Connect people who share responsibility, trust and a clear local calling.

03
MULTIPLY OUTWARD

Start, strengthen and sustain until every gap has an active team.

HOW THE
ECOSYSTEM CONNECTS.

A HUB is not a headquarters. It is a relational node that helps local teams see GAPs, learn from one another and multiply outward.

Local responsibility stays local. What connects is prayer, trust, coaching, learning and shared mission.

01WE

Teams of Teams

A team takes responsibility for a specific GAP. Teams stay local, but share prayer, coaching, learning and resources with other teams.

02MANY GIFTS · ONE RIVER

Streams of Streams

A stream is a multiplying line of disciples and communities connected by relationship, context or calling. Streams connect without losing their identity.

03HUB

HUBs of HUBs

A HUB serves the movement: it identifies GAPs, equips leaders, connects resources and sends teams. Connected HUBs strengthen the edges.

EUROPE,
CONNECTED.

Each node represents a city connection. Select a node to see its status and the teams, streams and communities already connected there.

ACTIVE HUBCONNECTINGFORMING

ONE VISION.
WE MOVE TOGETHER.

Collaboration is not about building one organization. It is about living a shared calling through trust, distinct responsibilities and a willingness to share decisions, resources and goals.

01
LOVE GOD & EACH OTHER

Matthew 22 — Let love shape every relationship and responsibility.

02
MAKE DISCIPLES

Matthew 28 — Make and multiply disciples through generations.

03
COLLABORATE IN UNITY

John 17 — Move as one body with distinct gifts and callings.

RELATIONSHIP DEPTH

Trust and shared responsibility can deepen over time.

01
COOPERATION

Work alongside.

Loose cooperation with little commitment and independent responsibility.

02
COLLABORATION

Work together.

Close collaboration with shared decisions, resources and goals.

03
COMMITMENT

Belong together.

Deep, long-term community with mutual trust and a shared calling.

YOUR CITY
IS A NODE.

Bring your passion, people, place or profession. Find the gaps. Build trust. Start small. Multiply what carries life.

CLEAR
QUESTIONS.
CLEAR ANSWERS.

01What exactly is a movement?+

We speak of a movement when at least 1,000 people have been baptized, gather in at least 100 missional communities, and multiplication has reached the fourth generation. The numbers describe scale; the fourth generation shows that reproduction no longer depends on the original team.

02What is a missional community?+

A missional community is a simple, reproducible expression of church. People follow Jesus together, care for one another, reach their relational world and help new disciples and communities begin.

03What is a GAP?+

A GAP is a relational or social context in which no active team is intentionally making disciples and forming multiplying communities yet. It can relate to people, places, passions or professions.

04What is a team, stream and HUB?+

A team takes responsibility for a GAP. A stream is a multiplying line of related teams and communities. A HUB equips, coaches, connects and sends them. The HUB serves the movement; it does not control it.

05What do Active, Connecting and Forming mean?+

Active means a HUB is operating and can be contacted. Connecting means leaders and teams are building shared relationships and mission. Forming means first contacts and a common vision are emerging.

06Does a HUB replace a local church?+

No. A HUB strengthens local expressions of church and helps new disciples, teams and communities multiply. It centralizes only what needs to be shared, so ministry can remain decentralized.

07How can my city become a node?+

Begin with prayer and relationships. Name a concrete GAP, gather people who share responsibility for it, start serving together and connect with a nearby node for coaching and support.
